FAQ

Carolina’s rates vary depending on the scope of the project. The key factors considered include the medium (TV, digital, radio), market size (local, regional, national), audience reach, usage duration (3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or indefinite), and script length.

I use the GVAA rate guide to base my initial quotes. I understand that every project is unique, and budgets vary. I work with your needs and deliver on time and within your budget.

Explainer videos and non-broadcast narrations depend on script length and complexity. Most corporate videos are 2-3 minutes, with the first 3 minutes at a fixed rate and additional time at a per-minute cost. Technical and medical scripts may cost more due to the specialized expertise and extra preparation involved.

Carolina accepts payment through ACH/direct deposit, Wise, and PayPal. New clients are typically asked for a 50% deposit before audio delivery, while regular clients follow a net-30 invoicing schedule. After the first project has been completed, normal invoicing and payments terms (net 30) apply.

You’ll receive an invoice with the project details outlined:

  • Scope of the project
  • Terms of usage (where the audio will play and for how long)
  • Audio deliverables (number of files, format specs, and due date)

Once project terms, timeline, and voiceover style are agreed upon, clients provide the final script, along with pronunciation guides and visual references. Even music choices can be helpful. After receiving the audio files, clients review them. If there are any tweaks needed for the performance, like emphasizing certain parts or adjusting the pacing, I’ll make those adjustments at no extra cost. Re-recording due to script changes may incur an additional fee.

Turnaround times are fast, sometimes the same day, sometimes the next day. Varying depending on Carolina’s schedule. To ensure a margin of safety, clients are asked to allow for at least one to two business days (excluding bulk projects like e-learning or narration). Carolina is responsive to your needs, keeping you informed and often delivering audio ahead of schedule.

Small edits and corrections due to errors on Carolina’s part are made at no additional charge. For client-initiated revisions after the original recording date, standard rates apply.
